The International Association for Time Use Research (IATUR), Statistics Korea, and Korean Association for Time Studies (KATS) are pleased to host the 38th IATUR conference at Seoul National University in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The main conference takes place from 20-22 July 2016. Workshops take place on 19 July, and a tour sets off on 23 July.

This year’s conference theme is New Challenges in Time Use: Wellbeing and Social Policy

The conference invites abstracts for papers that deal with any aspect of time use research, though this event particularly welcomes papers related to wellbeing.

Please submit abstracts of between 250 and 350 words through this IATUR CRM system.

Abstracts should include:

    • Type of presentation (oral presentation, software demonstration, or poster)
    • Presentation title
    • The names, affiliation, and country of all authors
    • Abstract (350 words maximum)
    • 2 to 5 key words

The deadline for submitting abstracts for guaranteed consideration for oral presentations was 15 March, 2016. All people who submitted their abstracts by this date will have received notification of acceptance by the end of March. Researchers can continue to submit abstracts for poster presentations until 30 June 2016. Where possible, we will try to include papers in the oral presentation sessions if authors so wish, but we make no guarantees for placement of abstracts submitted later. Deadlines for financial support, cancellation refunds, and early, lower-rate registration are final.

Review and Selection: Abstracts will undergo a formal peer-review evaluation by the local scientific committee.
